‎BBNaija star Uriel Oputa has questioned couples who bring their relationship disagreements to social media, saying some issues should be handled privately.

‎In a post on Instagram, Uriel said she wondered why people choose to make their personal relationship fights public and allow strangers to weigh in.
‎
‎“This is probably an unpopular opinion, but why do people bring their personal relationship fights to social media? Like... when did social media become the family court?” she wrote.

‎
‎She said she hopes to end up with a partner who has the wisdom and emotional maturity to understand that not every disagreement needs an audience.

‎
‎
‎According to Uriel, couples should handle some disagreements privately through honest communication, counselling or with the help of a trusted professional when necessary.

‎
‎She also warned that social media users may not genuinely care about the outcome of a couple’s problems, despite their reactions online.

‎“People will watch, pick sides, screenshot, make memes, laugh, argue in the comments... and then scroll to the next thing,” she added.
