"I love road travel, but today I am denied of my best form of travel" — Veteran actor Emeka Ike appeals to government over insecurity

‎Veteran Nollywood actor Emeka Ike has appealed to the government and security agencies to intensify efforts to tackle insecurity across the country.

‎Speaking while addressing security operatives, the actor said he enjoys travelling by road but no longer feels safe doing so because of the security situation in parts of Nigeria.

‎"I love road travel, but today I am denied of my best form of travel. So many Nigerians love to have it on the road, but we are no more safe," he said.

‎Emeka urged authorities not to allow the situation to worsen, noting that while his own children may not be affected at the moment, other families are already suffering the consequences.

‎He also called for an end to killings and bandit attacks, warning that insecurity poses a threat to the future of the country.

‎"Let's stop this killing. Let's stop bandits from taking over our country. If our country is taken, where will all of us work?" he said.
