ICE arrests Nigerian man convicted of fraud in US


‎The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has arrested a 31-year-old Nigerian man, Barnabas Terhemba Jime, who was convicted of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.




‎ICE disclosed this in a post via X on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.



‎According to the agency,  Mr Gime was among ‘criminal illegal aliens’ arrested last week.



‎"Criminals came from all over the world to take advantage of America’s open borders to wreak havoc in our communities. Here are just a few of the criminal illegal aliens arrested by ICE last week,” the post reads.



‎“Jime, 31, convicted of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. He will remain in ICE custody pending removal from the United States.”
