Unexpected hike in Federal University Lokoja school fees

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AFTER A MEETING BETWEEN THE EXECUTIVES OF THE SUG AND VARIOUS STUDENT LEADERS ON CAMPUS.

PREAMBLE:

Consequent to the increment of the school fees by the university management, the Students' Union Government executives held a meeting with the NAKOSS (Both FUL Chapter and National), NANS, Faculty Presidents, departmental presidents and Course Representatives

RESOLUTIONS REACHED IN THE MEETING:

1. The Students Union reject the school fee increment. 

2. The President of the SUG appealed to NANS ZONE C, NANS Kogi State Joint Campus Council, National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS NATIONAL) to join the union in the struggle to reverse the school fee increment.

3. Students should avoid paying school fees until the issue at hand is resolved.

4. The various student association presidents are to be called for a meeting to look into the various school fee charges.

5. The union posited that the school fee payment portal should be closed pending the resolution of the issues at hand. 

6. The 3 C's of Aluta (Consultation, Consolidation, and Confrontation) are to be adopted in tackling the issue before the union.

7. All students are implored to actively join this movement that is beneficial to everyone.
