This week, news of a staggering shoe purchase purportedly made by Bey began to circulate, with many outlets reporting that the singer dropped a cool (make that very, very cool) $312,000 on diamond-encrusted sandals by House of Borgezie—to appear in a music video with an $85,000 belt, no less. The brand's designer even gave interviews confirming the purchase, reportedly saying, "If you want someone to model your creations, you can't get any better than Beyoncé."
But Beyoncé's rep tells E! News that the story is absolutely not true. So while the singer has been upping her accessories game this summer (all the better to carry front and center), the jaw unhinge-worthy Borgezie heels are not included.
Really, the shoes aren't very B to begin with: That butterfly pendant gives us major Mariah Carey vibes.
